Jeff Golden, Vice President,
April 2000
For those of you who missed having a big, juicy steak at the FACE Awards Banquet at The Pub restaurant on March 23rd, here’s a rundown on who received recognition for their contributions to FACE:
Mike Fox for his ten years of service as the founding president of FACE.
Charlie Forberg for hosting our Mercer County workgroup meeting for six years, for handing our hot-line calls, and for financially supporting FACE through his employer’s charitable giving program.
Cliff and Gloria Wenrick for hosting our Gloucester/Salem Counties workgroup meeting for five years, for Cliff rebuilding computers for FACE members, and for financially supporting FACE through Cliff’s employer’s charitable giving program.
Greg Law for becoming FACE’s first life member.
Jeff Golden for ten years of service to FACE as vice president. This was totally unexpected, and I extend my warmest thanks to the FACE board of directors for this totally unexpected honor.
We have another batch of organizational changes at FACE. After a five month delay, at our May board meeting we elected David Cantera to be our new president, providing a permanent replacement for Mike Fox. Since Dave’s election as president left the position of secretary vacant, the board of directors also elected FACE board member Ron Neely to that position. I extend to Dave and Ron my best wishes for their tenures in their new capacities.
I will be continuing in my duties as FACE vice president, and continuing in my activities as newsletter editor, supporting pro se litigants, as liaison with the Family Law Reform Political Action Committee, where I am also vice president, turning Dad’s House into a reality, and in other special projects for FACE.
This will be my last acting president’s message. In the next edition of About FACE, our new president Dave Cantera will be taking over this column.
